Activities we offer

Our extracurricular programme offers a variety of interesting and fun activities, including sports, arts, academic clubs, and languages, carefully chosen to give our children the possibility to:
  • Experience teamwork and expand their social circle
  • Cultivate self-esteem and build confidence
  • Improve learning and problem-solving skills
  • Develop emotional regulation that carries over to the classroom and other areas of life

Sports and Outdoor Activities

Our movement-based extracurricular activities offer children the chance to engage in a wide range of outdoor games and physical experiences in a positive, non-competitive environment that builds confidence and supports overall well-being.

These classes are carefully designed to help children develop key physical skills—such as agility, balance, coordination, strength, and flexibility—while also encouraging teamwork, problem-solving, and effective communication. Beyond the physical benefits, they provide a fun and creative outlet for self-expression, all within the beautiful and inspiring outdoor spaces of our school.

Table Tennis

Join PE teacher José Benavente for fun and engaging table tennis sessions that combine play with skill-building in a supportive environment.

This game promotes patience, perseverance, and sportsmanship, while helping children build confidence through steady progress. It also improves hand-eye coordination, reflexes, focus, and strategic thinking—skills that support learning in and out of the classroom.

Whether played individually or with others, table tennis encourages social interaction, quick thinking, and active movement in a low-impact setting, making it a perfect extracurricular activity for kids of all ages and abilities.

Football offers more than physical movement. It encourages cooperation, communication, and team-building, both on and off the field. By working toward shared goals in a supportive space, students learn to trust one another, celebrate each other's efforts, and build confidence while developing essential social skills.

In a joyful and dynamic atmosphere, children will explore Capoeira through playful games, acrobatic movement, and traditional songs in Portuguese. This immersive experience not only develops strength, coordination, rhythm, and balance, but also nurtures creativity, body awareness, and a sense of cultural appreciation.
By practicing Capoeira, students build confidence, respect, and community through an expressive art that celebrates movement and connection.

Through music, visual arts, or hands-on crafts, these creative experiences offer children meaningful opportunities to build self-confidence, express their emotions, and grow in a caring, supportive environment.
By engaging in the arts, students learn to take creative risks, collaborate with peers, and celebrate their individuality, all while making new friendships and discovering the joy of creating something uniquely their own.
Let your child’s creativity flourish. Come and be part of something inspiring!

Crafts Club

We’re delighted to present our new Crafts Club, led by our craft teacher, Silvia Granda. This hands-on extracurricular activity invites children to explore a wide variety of artistic techniques and materials, including knitting, weaving, pottery, felting, woodworking, and more. Each month will bring a new creative project to inspire and engage!

Whether your child is learning a craft for the first time or building on a skill they already know, each session offers the chance to grow, create, and gain confidence through meaningful handwork.

In a warm, relaxed, and welcoming environment, students will develop their creativity, focus, and patience. Crafting encourages self-expression and pride in each beautiful piece they take home — always made with their own unique touch.

Playing an instrument

Choosing to play an instrument is the beginning of an exciting journey that will bring many benefits to our students.

Learn how to play the piano with Istvan Szekely, concert pianist and experienced piano teacher, on Wednesdays at 3.30 pm.

Please note that these classes should be arranged privately with the teacher:
istvan.szekely.piano@gmail.com.

Please let us know if you are interested in another musical instrument and we will investigate possibilities to offer that instrument at school or help you find a teacher.

Music Ensemble

No matter what instrument you play, you are welcome in our Music Ensemble! Whether you're already playing an instrument, just beginning with the ukulele or soprano recorder, this is the perfect place to grow musically, collaborate with others, and enjoy the magic of making music together.

Led in a fun, welcoming environment, this group will explore the joy of playing together, build confidence, and develop ensemble skills through a wide range of musical pieces. Throughout the school year, we’ll also have opportunities to perform at school festivals and special events, sharing our music with the wider community.

Bring your instrument, your curiosity, and your love for music. We can’t wait to make music together!

Languages

We are delighted to offer a vibrant Languages section in our extracurricular program, where children can explore new ways of expressing themselves and experiencing the world. Learning a foreign language is not only a valuable communication skill — it also nurtures flexible thinking, empathy, and a natural curiosity for other cultures and people.

In our diverse and international school community, language learning takes on a deeper meaning. It becomes a bridge that connects students with one another, helping them appreciate different backgrounds, traditions, and ways of life.

Through engaging activities such as games, songs, stories, creative writing and conversation, students immerse themselves in the rhythm and beauty of a new language in a joyful and supportive environment. These experiences help children grow in confidence, develop a global mindset, and build meaningful connections — both with the language and with each other.

A fun and enriching way to open their minds and hearts to the world around them!

Creative Writing for Primary - English and Spanish

This extra-curricular class will give primary children the opportunity to express themselves through their writing in a range of forms—from poetry to short stories, graphic novels, theatre scripts, and screenplays. Each week, we will look at a celebrated piece of writing and then have the opportunity to create something inspired by this work. Although all instructions will be delivered in English, students are very welcome to write their contributions in Spanish.

At the end of each term, we will showcase our best work in a magazine, and students will finish the year with a full hard-copy portfolio of all of their creative pieces, beautifully bound and presented so they can keep it as a souvenir forever.
