At the AIS Sixth Form Hub, we see education as a collaborative journey. The final two years of school are a unique time of transition – a bridge where academic dedication meets personal discovery. To support this growth, we have structured our pre-university curriculum around flexibility, deep focus, and individual strengths, ensuring that every student is fully prepared for their next step into the wider world. Using the globally recognised Pearson Edexcel International A-Level framework, we provide a mature learning environment where students are treated with adult trust and given the space to truly thrive.
We believe that every young person carries unique talents that traditional, one-size-fits-all exam routes do not always capture. To build upon these individual strengths, we have created two distinct pathways that nurture both deep academic scholarship and vibrant entrepreneurial creativity.
An inspiring hub for future founders, digital creators, and industry innovators. This track shifts the focus toward practical, real-world application. In many traditional educational settings, creative expression is often treated as a secondary hobby, or set aside entirely to maintain a narrow academic focus. At the AIS Sixth Form Hub, we choose a different path. We do not ask our students to suppress their unique talents to pass an assessment. Instead, our educational model provides a supportive and rigorous academic framework that values, certifies, and elevates their natural strengths, turning individual creativity and entrepreneurial vision into highly respected academic pursuits.
We understand that navigating university entry criteria for higher education in Spain (UNEDasiss) and across Europe can feel daunting for families. Our Global Enterprise Track resolves this dilemma with absolute clarity. By utilising the flexible, modular Pearson Edexcel framework to structure a balanced combination of 2 Full A-Levels and 2 AS-Levels, our students successfully clear the formal entry requirements for European public universities. This tailored approach secures their global mobility whilst significantly reducing pressure and anxiety.
The true heart of our sixth-form experience is our commitment to a small-group seminar framework, where every subject cohort is limited to fewer than 10 students.
At AIS, our learning spaces function as interactive Mentoring Seminars. Because our groups are so intimate, our specialised teaching team act as personal coaches, guiding each student through their A level subjects and the Extended Project Qualification (EPQ). Rather than a rigid assessment requirement, the EPQ serves as a distinction factor project. This allows young people to develop the sophisticated portfolios and confident interview talking points needed to secure places at top universities and modern global degree programmes.
This pathway is designed for students seeking traditional academic and professional distinction. It offers a deep, focused dive into STEM (Sciences, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) and the Humanities. Taught in our signature small seminar groups of fewer than 10 students, this track allows for rich roundtable debates, close mentorship, and the intellectual freedom required to clear highly competitive university filters. Here are some examples of Academic Excellence Pathways:
Targeting Architecture, Civil Engineering, or Industrial Design.

Supporting AS-Level: Computer Science.
Targeting sustainable development, green tech innovation, genetics, or environmental law.

Choosing your subjects is about balancing your personal passions with smart, practical decisions for your future. Integrating A Level Spanish into your pathway is more than a language choice; it is a strategic academic advantage if you are aiming for Spanish universities, helping you strengthen your overall profile and improve your competitiveness when cut-off grades (notas de corte) matter.
Advanced Fluency: Beyond the examinations, you will develop sophisticated communication and analytical skills, turning your bilingual environment into a formal, certified qualification that stands out to admissions teams worldwide.
Strategic Grade Support: Taking a native or advanced language allows you to build a reassuring foundation within your options, banking a strong grade to elevate your overall points profile.
University Matriculation: This subject adds immediate, practical value to your university entry requirements in Spain, bridging the gap between your international studies and local academic goals safely.
We understand that standard examination models do not always capture the full scope of a young person’s analytical or entrepreneurial vision. At the AIS Sixth Form Hub, we believe that practical execution and digital innovation should be celebrated alongside traditional academic work. To support this, we integrate the Pearson Edexcel Extended Project Qualification (EPQ) “Artifact Route” into our broader academic curriculum.
The EPQ is not designed to be a standalone qualification; rather, it acts as a prestigious project that enhances a student’s core subjects. Working within our intimate seminar groups, students receive direct mentorship from specialised teachers to build real-world products, code applications, or design business models. This coursework-driven framework naturally eases exam-hall pressure whilst allowing young people to develop the sophisticated portfolios and interview talking points required to stand out at global universities. Here are some ideas of EPQ projects that can be undertaken at the AIS Sixth Form Hub.
