Children can enrol at AIS until Class 6 without English, they will need to have a basic level of speaking and understanding in English when they enter Class 7. If they enter in Class 8 with a low English level, they will be expected to take intensive extra-curricular classes and their progress will be assessed at the end of the first trimester to decide whether they will be able to reach the necessary level for Class 9 and GCSE preparation.

German and French are taught from Class 7/Year 8 twice a week. In Class 9 they can be chosen as GCSE options and will be given 4 lessons per week.

This service will be available from 1.30 to 2.00 pm. Students who’ve reserved lunch will head to the cafeteria, while others will enjoy an activity with their teachers.

Children should wear comfortable clothes and footwear as they will be playing and moving outside. Shoes and sandals should be appropriate for outdoor activities in a rural area. A hat or cap is also highly recommended. Flip-flops are only allowed during swimming time. Remember that we are placed in a rural area with rocky surroundings.

You will authorise who can pick up your child during the registration process. If a person is not on that list, they won’t be able to pick up your child. You must contact the office if you want anyone not on that list to pick up your child and arrange it.

School will be closed after 2.00 pm, so you must pick up your child by 2.00 pm daily. In case of an emergency, please contact the office as soon as possible.

If your child can’t swim or is learning to swim, you must provide floatation equipment, such as life vests, water wings or floats. If properly labelled, you can leave them at school. We will provide a space to keep them so you don’t need to bring them daily.

If you provide the school with at least two full weeks’ notice before the start of the week (e.g., by Sunday, June 15th, for the week beginning Monday, June 30th), you will be eligible for a refund. However, if notice is given within two weeks of the start date, we regret that we cannot offer a refund for summer school fees. Please note that payments made for bus transportation and lunch are non-refundable.
