Our extracurricular program for the upcoming term will begin on Monday 14 September. The courses are thoughtfully designed to offer a palette of enriching experiences in five core areas:
We look forward to a fun and enriching experience together!
Volleyball — José Benavente – Wednesdays 15:45 – 16:45
These sessions, led by our PE teacher José Benavente, are particularly supportive for our GCSE and A Level PE students, helping them strengthen their skills and confidence as part of their academic journey and offering them valuable practice and preparation. However, all students are welcome, regardless of experience or ability.
Playing volleyball helps students build trust, resilience, and a strong sense of teamwork in an energetic and supportive setting. Whether they’re new to the sport or already have some experience, all students are welcome to join and enjoy learning together on the court.

Football — Gordon Tweedle – Mondays 15:45 – 16:45
We’re thrilled to offer football as part of our extracurricular program, led by our PE teacher, Gordon Tweedle. These sessions invite students to enjoy the game in a relaxed, respectful, and non-competitive environment, where the focus is on having fun, staying active, and learning together.
Football practice encourages cooperation, communication, and team-building, both on and off the field. By working toward shared goals in a supportive space, students learn to trust one another, celebrate each other’s efforts, and build confidence while developing essential social skills. All levels are welcome. Come and play!

Capoeira — Rafael Aguilar – Mondays 15:30 – 16:30 (Class 3 and up)
We’re pleased to continue offering Capoeira as part of our extracurricular program, guided by our experienced teacher Rafael Aguilar. Capoeira is far more than a martial art. It’s a vibrant Afro-Brazilian discipline that blends movement, music, rhythm, acrobatics, and rich cultural expression.
In a joyful and dynamic atmosphere, children will explore Capoeira through playful games, acrobatic movement, and traditional songs in Portuguese. This immersive experience not only develops strength, coordination, rhythm, and balance, but also nurtures creativity, body awareness, and a sense of cultural appreciation.
By practicing Capoeira, students build confidence, respect, and community through an expressive art that celebrates movement and human connection.
Come join Rafael and experience the rhythm, energy, and joy of Capoeira!

Table Tennis – Joé Benavente – Wednesday 15:45 to 16:45 ( Only for PE GCSE students) This game promotes patience, perseverance, and sportsmanship, while helping children build confidence through steady progress. It also improves hand-eye coordination, reflexes, focus, and strategic thinking—skills that support learning in and out of the classroom.
Whether played individually or with others, table tennis encourages social interaction, quick thinking, and active movement in a low-impact setting, making it a great extracurricular activity for building key athletic skills.
