As the founder of the school, it fills me with great pride and joy to see the lively school community filling our buildings every day, just 13 years after we first opened our doors to a group of Class 6 children. These first alumni graduated in 2019 and since then others have followed. They are working in diverse professions in many different countries around the world.
The successes of the school align with the ideals for the future, as AIS remains true to the original vision when we first started in 2012; ensuring that equal emphasis is placed on the pursuit of academic excellence, artistic expression and socio-emotional development, personalised learning through small class sizes, and pastoral care that focuses on the needs of the individual student. Naturally this would not be possible without the dedication of our committed and experienced teachers who do so much to support student learning.
One of the special qualities of an international school like ours is that student intake is extremely varied and the many nationalities enrolled at AIS gives it a truly multicultural feel. This encourages values such as respect and tolerance. Also, the opportunity to practise mindfulness furthers the development of empathy, kindness and social responsibility.
